Google Sign-In and Google APIs

Annotica offers Google Sign-In so you can create or access an account using your Google identity. When you choose this option, Google shares basic profile information with us, which may include your name, email address, language preference, and profile picture. We use this information only to authenticate you, create or link your Annotica account, display your identity in the product, and communicate with you about the service.

Google Drive

Annotica connects to Google Drive so teams can import creative files into our online proofing platform without re-uploading them. When you connect Google Drive from Annotica, we request access to Google Drive so you can browse and select files to bring into a review.

We use Google Drive data only to:

List files and folders you are allowed to see so you can pick assets for review
Import the files you select into Annotica for annotation, version comparison, comments, and approval workflows
Keep file name, type, and version metadata so reviewers work on the correct asset

We do not read, copy, or store your entire Drive. We do not access Drive files you have not selected. We do not use Google Drive content for advertising, data brokerage, credit decisions, or to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Drive files imported into Annotica are stored as review assets in your workspace and are subject to the same retention and deletion rules as other Annotica content.

You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from Annotica or from your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting stops new access. To delete previously imported Drive files from Annotica, remove them in the product or email support@zoriq.net.

Annotica's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to service providers who process it solely to operate Annotica, if you direct us to do so, or if required to comply with law or to protect the security of our users.

Limited Use of Google User Data

Annotica's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is:

Accessed only after you sign in with Google or connect Google Drive from Annotica, and only for the scopes you approve.
Used only to provide or improve visible Annotica features: signing in, showing your identity, and importing Google Drive files you select for review, annotation, version comparison, and approval.
Stored on our secured systems for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then deleted when you request deletion or close your account, unless law requires longer retention.
Shared only with subprocessors that help us operate Annotica, when you ask us to share it, for security investigations, to comply with law, or as part of a business transfer with prior notice.

Humans do not read Google user data unless you give affirmative agreement for a specific support case, it is necessary to investigate abuse or a security issue, it is required by law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations.

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With Your Consent: We may share information when you direct us to do so.
With Your Organization: If you use our services through an organization (e.g., your employer), we may share your information with that organization.
With Service Providers: We may share information with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf.
For Legal Reasons: We may share information if we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.
